It was a fantastic 45th reunion. It was if time had been standing still everyone just picked up right where we left off in 1969. So good to see everyone and made me remember how much my classmates meant and what a special time it was.

I went to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and worked as an engineer running trains between Houston and New Orleans. Tommy Hall was an engineer for the SP Railroad, and our trains would meet in Beaumont from time to time. In 1990 I took early retirement from the railroad, went to Lamar, and got a BS in Medical Technology (laboratory medicine). I was a hospital lab director for 15 years. In 2007 I got a call asking if I wanted to come back to work for the railroad, and I have been running trains again since then. My wife and I just finished building our retirement home at Crystal Beach. We are there every weekend until we finally retire in about a year.
My wife and I have 5 grandchildren (4 girls and 1 boy). We like to take the grandkids fishing and skiing on Lake Belton.

Well, I haven't had much luck with husbands! Fred, my last, was killed by a drunk driver in 2001. Now I am married to a wonderful guy, Jerry. We have three children, all of them with 4 legs--an Australian Shepherd, a Bassett Hound, and a Rat Terrier. How's that for a family. I am an RN, at Ben Taub ER for 14 years, then 10 years as House Supervisor at Kingwood Medical Center, and then 4 miserable years as Operations Administrator at Memorial Hermann Northeast. I am now semi-retired and working part-time doing home health. It doesn't have the status my administrative jobs had or even the $$$, but I sure like it better! Would love to hear from any of my OLD classmates. Read Facebook, but don't write much so just e-mail me. Georgia

Great way to keep up with everyone! Married Danny Ashmore in 1971. Just celebrated 42 years this past summer! Have 2 kids, Amy - 28, lives in Houston, and Brett - 32, lives in Opelousas, LA. No grand kids yet. I attended Lamar 2 years after graduation and Danny attended 4 years and graduated with his Accounting degree. We moved to Houston and stayed there 10 years. I worked as a secretary, and then employment placement counselor, and Danny started off in accounting job with Dresser Industries, but soon changed to Sales with a drill pipe company. We moved back to Beaumont in 1982 right after our son was born, and we've been in the area every since. In 1990, I went back to Lamar to work on my teaching certification and began teaching at Lumberton Middle School in Aug, 1992. Danny retired in Sept, 2010 from EPI in mid county, where he had managed the branch for a number of years. I retired from teaching in May, 2012 after 20 years teaching. We enjoy traveling, the beach, fishing, and Danny enjoys hunting. Life has been great!

Jerry, my husband of 40 years, and I are still Texans at heart, and we do spend most holidays at our longtime home in Plano TX. However, since Jerry's job with the US Army brought him to Ft Beloir in Virginia in 2009, we spend most of the rest of the year at our townhouse in Occoquan, VA. Our townhouse is on a high hill overlooking the village and the river. We love the changes in the seasons, we love the Virginian friends we have made, and now plan to split our time between Texas and Virginia when Jerry retires in 2014. We have three wonderful daughters, two perfect sons-in-law, and three of the most amazing grandchildren in the world. I still come down to Beaumont to see my mom, and love driving around to see all the old French High School hangouts!

Great to see so many memories captured in one place! Thanks for keeping the memories alive. I owe the Vocational Office Education (VOE) program at French High for providing me with clerical/office skills that assisted me in getting clerical/secretarial jobs that substained me until I could get a better job (nonclerical). After graduating from FHS, I worked my way thru college & upon graduation, taught public high school for a year before I left Texas for a new career. I am currently living the life of a very happy retiree. Its nice to come home. Keep the memories alive.

Have lived all over Texas serving in churches with my husband, Dennis, a Baptist Minister of Music. We were married for 28 years before his death in '03. We have three children: Deanna, 33, singer on Princess Cruise ships; Daniel, 31, married and a new Dad...making me a "Nana" at last; and David, 24, recently married and beginning law school at SMU. I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, class of '74 and have been an elementary teacher, preschool teacher, and currently am a caregiver for a dear lady who reached 100 years last January. I have been in Palestine nearly 15 years and I enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, taking cruises with my daughter, and now enjoying the new chapter in my life being Nana
