The 2nd Annual Bonfire and Open House was held Jan 20th.
We had a nice turn out but the weather kept a lot of people home in the warmth of their homes.
But what they missed was a time to visit old friends and a chance to walk the halls of FHS again.
We got a late start on the bonfire but everyone tried to stay warm drinking hot chocolate and walking around the school.
After the bonfire died down, we went in the auditorium for a dedication ceremony for
Coach Shaver.
After the dedication and recognition of Coach Campbell and Coach Miller, several alumni sang a few songs, under the leadership of Vickie & Rodney Barnett. The class of '57 did 2-bits and the school song.
To close the night we had a auction.
Coach Campbell donated a FHS Basketball Jacket and it brought in $480.00. We also auctioned a FHS storm jacket, for $160.00. The auction was a hoot.
Thank you to: the Bmt. Administration for allowing us to have the Bonfire,
and Mr. Lewis at Willie Ray Smith.
Without the written consent from both of them we couldn't have the Bonfire at "French"!!
