Several of us went to a local bar to celebrate going there. We Marines have a different type of Humor. I'm the one with his tongue out. We all made it back with only three of us wounded. The second photo is me standing outside the Shop getting ready to go on a hop. ![]() This is one of the barracks that was destroyed Aug 1 1971 by rockets and mortars. ![]() ![]() Ron Eller, class of '63 taking down the flag at Cape Romanzof Alaska. Ron said: "It was a radar site on the Bearing Sea. Not much ceremony - just me going out at 6 AM and running it up the flag pole and me going out at 6 PM and running it down the flag pole. Rain, snow, fog it didn't matter.
