Joe D. Perkins
Mr. Joe D. Perkins 65, of the Forts Lake community of Jackson County passed away on October 26, 2016 at his home.
Joe was born on August 17, 1951 in Mobile Al. Joe worked for International Paper Company in Moss Point and also with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as a project coordinator. Joe loved life and he was a friend to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, metal “dirt digging” detecting, and he was a collector of many things. He was given the nickname “Joe Joe” by his granddaughter in which he cherished every moment with her.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Billie Perkins, his sister Patricia Burgroff, and his father-in-law Henry Eugene Pierce.
He is survived by his wife Pam Pierce Perkins of Forts Lake, his son David (Katie) Perkins of Grand Bay, his brothers William Perkins/ Elizabeth Crider of Houston, TX; and Robert (Eileen) Perkins of Navarre, FL; his uncle and aunt Philip (Martha) Perkins of Navarre, FL; aunt and uncle Betty (Rev. Eddie) Green Titusville FL, uncle Larry Perkins of AL., his mother-in-law Betty Pierce of Escatawpa. He also leaves behind his granddaughter Julia “Pookie” Perkins of Grand Bay, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday October 30, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 3:00pm from the funeral home chapel. Rev. Eddie Green will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in Orange Grove cemetery in Moss Point, MS.

Karen Christine Weller, 64, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
She was born on August 31, 1951, in Beaumont, to Claire Stephens Mills and Larry Mills, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
A gathering of Ms. Weller’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. with her memorial service to follow at 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Jeri Lavon Herford, 66, of Beaumont passed away peacefully Friday, July 29, 2016 while residing at Beaumont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jeri was born Feb 20, 1950, however to Jeri, her real birthday was always July 4, 1955 the date on which she was adopted by August and Mary Herford.
Jeri attended Beaumont schools where she graduated from French High School.
Jeri accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was passionate about her faith and her family. Despite her many obstacles, Jeri remained upbeat and always had an ear to listen to anyone in need. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Jeri was preceded in death by her father August Herford and brother, Rick Herford.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Herford of Beaumont; close aunts, Ann Cobb of Beaumont and Joyce Boden of Vidor; a host of Herford family members; Louisiana loved ones; cousins and many friends. Freddy Mae Bell Hall
Freddie Mae Bell Hall, 64, of Beaumont, TX passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at St. Luke Medical Center in Houston, TX.
Freddie was a native of Beaumont and she was retired as a sales-person from Dillard's Dept. Store. Precious memories are left to her husband, Thomas Hall; father, Raymond Bell; children, Donald Hall, Strephen Provost (Lisa), and Kimberly Hall; siblings, Ray Bell (Kim), Patrick Bell (Charisse), Robert Bell, Michael Bell, Scott Bell (Roneika), Theresa Bell, Clara Iwourie and Loretta Hubbard (Randall); two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Piux X Catholic Church (Bigner Rd. & E. Michael Kent Judice passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, March 26, 2015. Mike was born in Beaumont and attended French High School.
He made his home in Kountze in 1992 and worked as a car salesman for many years. He began his own pilot service business in 2003. Mike Judice was loved by all who knew him and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very kind and considerate man and will be greatly missed. He was a Noble of Shriners International, a Master Mason of Pine Lodge 642 in Kountze. Mike was also a Golden Trowel Recipient. He was deeply devoted to his Masonic duties and fellow masons.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Alexander J. Judice and his mother Ester Widner Judice, and his beloved brother in law, John Brekel. Thomas Troy Lowe, 64 of Wylie, Texas, passed away on June 4th, 2015, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Tommy was born December 13th, 1950, to James and Alice Lowe, in Beaumont, Texas.
Tommy graduated from French High School in 1969. He attended Lamar University and graduated with a BBA Marketing Degree in 1973. Tommy worked with his father at James T. Lowe Construction Company and later moved into Project Management as a Superintendent for multi-family dwellings. He worked in multiple states and always looked forward to the next location that his job took him.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Tiffany Michelle Hiltpold and her husband, Chris of San Antonio and Sabrina Lowe of Silsbee; a son, Kristopher Lowe and wife, Rhonda of Wylie, Texas; and three grandchildren; sister, Donna Lowe Groce and husband, Hank of Houston; and brother, Jerry Lowe and wife, Tabitha of Lumberton; with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Lowe and wife, Janelle Meche Lowe. Tom leaves behind several loving friends and family members.

Shirley Sue Steward Gilmer
Shirley Sue Steward Gilmer, 63, of Zwolle, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at her home. Shirley was born to Bill and Peggy Steward on August 23, 1951 in DeRidder.
She was raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated as Salutatorian from French High School in May 1969 and from Lamar University with a B.A. in Mathematics with Teacher Certification in June 1973. She married Pete Geisen in 1977 and had one daughter. Sadly, Pete was killed in an automobile accident in 1979. In 1985, Shirley met Jerry Gilmer and they were married in September, 1986 and they had one son.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Gilmer; daughter, Amy Dyson (Jimmy); and son, Ethan Gilmer, both of DeRidder, LA; stepdaughters, Julie Vining (Glen) of LaPorte, TX, and Jennifer McAnaly of Zwolle, LA; beloved grandchildren, Phillip and Ana Williams, Haleigh Dyson, Colby Rowe, Jordan McAnally and fiance’, Cooper Miller, Hunter and Peyton McAnally, James, Bailey, Abbie, Valiree, and Lorelai Vining; sisters, Peggy McCabe of Madison, WI, and Cathy Murphy (George) of Beaumont, TX; brothers, Bill Steward, Jr. (Betty) of Nome, TX, and Gary Steward (Janet) of Jennings, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Jimbo was born on March 23, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas and passed away on April 9, 2015 in Beaumont. He worked at Coca Cola in Beaumont since 1978.

Terry Breaux, 63, was born October 27, 1949 in Port Arthur, TX to Curtis and Bertie Browning Breaux and passed away October 14, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM Friday, October 18, 2013 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, 1155 North 11th St, Beaumont. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 1:00 PM until the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Terry was a long-time resident of Beaumont and had a special impact upon those he met. He was loved dearly by friends and family and in turn gave his love freely to others. Terry is survived by his sister, Janis Bayless of Lumberton, TX ; his brother, Winston Breaux of Alvin, TX; nine nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Breaux.
Georgia Adams Louviere
Georgia Lee Adams Louviere 1951 - 2015 Georgia Lee Adams Louviere loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2015 at the age of 63.
Born, March 4, 1951 in Beaumont, TX, she married the love of her life, Joseph Anthony Louviere. Georgia attended Lamar University and graduated with a B.S. degree in education. She taught for 25 years in BISD and VISD, before retiring. Georgia will be especially remembered for her love of teaching science. She was a compassionate, giving person and had a special love for her family, her friends and animals.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nettie Lee Adams, her sisters Carolyn Oliver and Bobbie Nell Adams Georgia is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Joseph A. Louviere, her son Joseph Jr. and wife Sheila, her daughter Kimberly Padgett and husband Kyle. Her five grandchildren; Hannah, Emily, Kylen, Kassler and Kendall. Her sister Gayle Lowery and husband Gippy. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janet Flanigan Pady
Janet Carol Pady, age 63, of Lumberton, TX, passed away at her home on August 24, 2014. She was born to Mary Mabel Miller Flanigan and Joseph Willard Flanigan on October 30, 1950, in Beaumont, TX.
She was a regular Thursday night poker player who also liked playing the slots. She adored her grandkids, nieces and nephews. Janet was happy at the beach where she enjoyed going crabbing. For many years she traveled with family, seeing the sights and always brought a lot of happiness and laughter to the group. She looked forward to staying in Fredericksburg at her favorite Bed ‘n Breakfast every chance she got.

James Douglas "Cannonball" Holland, 63, of Vidor, TX, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his wife and daughters. Doug was born on January 9, 1950, in Beaumont, TX, to Cecil and Evelyn Holland. He grew up in Beaumont and graduated from French High School in 1969. Doug moved to Vidor after marrying his wife of 41 years Mischelle Foster Holland. After 40 years, Doug was a semi-retired Ironworker of Local 135. He had recently been volunteering at the Christian Care Center in Vidor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Doug enjoyed watching his grandsons participate in their sporting and theater activities.
Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Holland and Evelyn (Holland) Deaven. He is survived by his wife, Mischelle Foster Holland; two daughters, Deedra LaPray and husband Matthew of Vidor, and Breyn Quinn and husband Mark of Houston; two grandsons, Tate and Porter LaPray of Vidor, and brother Gary Holland of Wildwood.

Patsy Gilchriest Johnson
Patsy L. Johnson, 61, of Beaumont, passed away, Friday, February 17, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born January 1, 1951, to Mattie Lou Fowler and William Gilchriest. Patsy was an office manager with Mike Smith Collision Center.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Johnson of Beaumont; daughter, D’Anna Stelly of Beaumont; step-son, Joey Johnson of Alexandria, Louisiana; her great aunt, Grandma Barclay; and numerous cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by her brother, Billy Gilchriest.

Rodney Bruce Mack, 61, passed away June 27, 2012, in Jasper, Texas. Rodney was a Native of Beaumont and a resident of Jasper, Texas, and enjoyed fishing and boating. He graduated from Louisiana State University and was retired from Jacobs Engineering.
Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Edward Bruce Mack; mother, Mildred Irene Mack; daughter, Tracy Leigh Mack; and sister, Darla Ellen Case. He is survived by his son, Rodney Travis Mack and wife, Amanda; brother, Craig Mack and wife, Stephanie of Louisiana; and granddaughter, Andrea Leigh Mack.

Jimmie Dale Killebrew
Jimmie Dale Killebrew, 59, of Onia, Arkansas entered into rest on October 1, 2009 at his home.
Jimmie was born April 22, 1950 in Galveston, Texas to Jimmie Dan and Katherine (Lassiter) Killebrew.
He attended Bethany Baptist Church in Onia. He was a good husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Wood Killebrew; son Jimmie Don Killebrew of Little Rock; two daughters, Sandra Barnes and husband Jason and Sherry Gibson all of Marked Tree; seven grandchildren, Angelica Miles, Crystal Gibson, Megan Gibson, Elizabeth Prather, Rebecca Prather, Olivia Barnes and Madison Plunk; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Miles and Katilyn Miles; two sisters, Sandra Holmes and Cheryl Killebrew both of Texas and many loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Dan and Katherine Killebrew.
Interment was in Pordue Cemetery, Onia.
Steve had a recurrence of cancer which he battled right out of high school. His request was to have his ashes spread at the beach where he enjoyed photographing birds.
Steve had been in declining health since last fall and spent most of his time in treatment in Houston. He recently returned to Beaumont to a Nursing Facility for Rehabilitation but eventually required hospice. We are deeply saddened for Carol, her mom, and James.
Norman Wayne “Scrap” Lawrence
Wayne Lawrence, 59, of Silsbee, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Scrap was born in Beaumont and lived in the Silsbee area most of his life. He was a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Lawrence; children, Ashley Gordon and her husband Rodney, Alysha Lathern and her husband Cory all of Silsbee, Chuck McNeal and his wife Melissa of Baton Rouge, Jason McNeal and his wife Heather of Silsbee, and Robert McNeal and his wife Miranda of Lumberton; and eleven grandchildren. Scrap is preceded in death by is parents, Norman and Ola Lawrence and granddaughter, Taylor McNeal.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Donald Ray Big “D” Hickey, 59, of Kirbyville, formerly of Beaumont passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010. Born June 15, 1950, in Beaumont and graduated from French High School in 1969. Survivors include his wife, Vera Hickey of Kirbyville; mother, Lois Fore Hickey Kirkland of Beaumont; sister, Patricia Shimek and her husband Larry of Beaumont; step-sister, Janet Born and her husband Cliff of Victoria; son, Joel Hickey and his wife Emily; and Jeff Hickey and his wife Kelle all of Lake Jackson; step-son, Troy May and his wife Shai of Baytown; step-daughter, Kimberly May of Silsbee; grandchildren, Shawn Hickey, Leahna Hickey and Nadia Hickey; step-grandchildren, Shelly May, Alan Hagan, Tiffany Lummus, Aaron Hagan, T.J. May, Cory Lummus and Austin May; nieces, Stephanie Shimek, Heather Rudd and her husband Marcus, Abby Sanders and her husband Earl and Leigh Ann Born; great niece, Madalyn Sanders. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. Hickey; and step-father, Lloyd Kirkland; step-son, William May, Jr.
Mr. Hickey worked at Beaumont Water Department as a young man. He retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after thirty-two years, currently working part-time at Orange County Building Materials in Lumberton. He received a Diesel Mechanic certificate and A/C Refrigeration Associates degree from LIT in Beaumont. Mr. Hickey was loving, friendly, helpful, big tease, never met a stranger, but would help one if need be. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson Road King and tinker with old cars. Mr. Hickey was a member of Cowboy Hog Chapter and National Harley Owners Group.
His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Broussard’s. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Michael Allen Smith
Michael Allen "Mike" Smith, 58, of Beaumont passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral Services were Saturday, August 29, 2009 Interment followed at at Westlake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Westlake, LA.
Mike was born December 5, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA to Thomas Carl "T.C." and Nancy Lee (Barnes) Smith. He was a member at Magnolia Baptist Church and was baptized on February 28, 1965. Magnolia Baptist Church later merged with Woodland Baptist Church where he was also a member. He was also a 1969 graduate of French High school and Lamar University where he earned his degree in physical education and history. He worked for his father at Triangle Engine until he retired.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Carl "T.C." Smith and is survived by his mother, Nancy Lee Smith of Beaumont; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Jeff Daigle of Beaumont; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Marilynn Smith of Deer Park; nieces and nephews, Nicole Daigle Giglio and husband, Damian of Louisville, Jarrod Daigle of Beaumont, Kevin Carl Smith and wife, Natalie of Deer Park and Dawne Wilson and husband Paul also of Deer Park and many other loving family members. Terry O’Bannion, 58, of League City passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010,
following a long struggle with emphysema and other health related problems.
