C.Bryce Thomas
C. Bryce Thomas, M.D., of Jasper, passed away Saturday at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
He was a graduate of Texas A & M University and from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston on May 27, 1960. Dr. Thomas was a very caring man who dedicated his life to medicine and was a team doctor in Jasper for over twenty years.
According to his wishes, private funeral services were at the Thomas Cemetery on his farm.
Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, DuAnne Thomas; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Renee Thomas and Ron and Karen Dupre; Daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Doug Hughes; grandchildren, Christopher and Jacob Thomas and Thomas and Conner Hughes.

Frankie Louise Compton Schexnayder
Frankie Louise Schexnayder, 75 , of The Woodlands, TX, died on Dec,3, 2010. Born in Beaumont, TX on Sept.13, 1935 to Oscar Franklin and Roxie Elizabeth Compton.
A French High graduate, she earned degrees from Lamar and SFA Univ. whose Theatre Dept. named her their first Distinguished Alumnus. A longtime resident of Port Neches, she taught in Sabine Pass where her students excelled at State Meets. Among her honors: Teacher of the Year and the auditorium named for her. Moved to The Woodlands in '05, to enjoy the area's arts scene, Altar Guild, quilting, poetry-writing, and gardening.
Survivors include sons Mark of The Woodlands and Mike of Melbourne, FL. Mike and Lynn's children; Michael J., Mary Ann, Carol and Patrick. Also a sister, Georgia Feldman Pryor of Beaumont. The Very Rev. Cliff Rucker will conduct the memorial service at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2425 Nall St., Port Neches, TX this Tues, Dec. 21 at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow. Preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Aldridge, and husband Harris, she was buried Dec. 7 with him near Lutcher, LA. Memorial: her theatre scholarship at SFA State Univ., P.O. Box 6092 SFA Sta., Nacogdoches, TX 75962.

Carolyn Mauer
Carolyn Ruth Mauer, 80, of Waco passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center.
Carolyn was born on February 23, 1935, in Beaumont, Texas, to Gordon and Ruth Legg. She graduated from French High School. During her high school years, she played the flute and was named Band Sweetheart.
Carolyn was a member of the Garden Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker who adored her family. Her hobbies were sewing for her children, painting the local scenery, and entertaining friends. She wrote poetry and loved to dance, taught Vacation Bible School, and led units of Girl Scouts during the time her children were involved.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Ann Walker and husband, Greg, of Hillsboro, Cynthia Kay Haynes and husband, Will, of Alexandria, Louisiana; and son, Richard Conrad Mauer and wife, Meredith, of Elgin, South Carolina. Her sisters are Anne Hoffpauir of Wildwood Resort City, Texas, and Gordie Noack of Tampa, Florida. She is survived by twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Billy Ray Wills - Coach and '53 grad
Billy Ray Wills, 72, of Bolivar Peninsula, Texas died Saturday, November l7, 2007.
A memorial services will be held at l0:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Anton Smikal of Port Acres Pentecostal Church officiating.
Billy was born November l9, l934 in Beaumont, Texas to Sydney Ray Wills and Opal Mae Davis Wills. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Lamar University with a Masters Degree. He retired from Silsbee ISD and was an area football coach for 20 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3719 which will also have a memorial service in Billy's honor at a later date.
Survivors include his two sons, Wynn Wills and wife, Kim and children, John and Chris Jennings of Nederland, Texas and Chris Wills of Austin, Texas; sister, Betty McMahon and husband, R. E. of Conroe, Texas; brother, Marvin Wills of Nederland, Texas; and grandchild, Raven Leigh Wills. Published in The Beaumont Enterprise on 11/29/2007.
